Restore the historic Water Tower Barn that once stood in the Scandia Village Center and create an Arts and Heritage Center to celebrate our city's history and cultural heritage. 2. Develop a Scandia Heritage Trail that will link historic sites and tell the story of Scandia’s history. As of early 2020, both initiatives are well underway. The Minnesota Historical Society awarded us a $10,000 Legacy Grant to complete the research for the Scandia Heritage Trail. In addition, we signed a Redevelopment Agreement with the City of Scandia to develop the Water Tower Barn: Scandia Arts & Heritage Center on the south portion of the Scandia Community Center Commons property.
